Dead Island vs. Warhammer40k

Here is my review:

Dead Island:

DI for short, is pretty much every zombie game ever...on an Island. You know from everything that there is going to be an outbreak some time, you just don't know "when". But you do know when. You aren't stupid, you know when the first big pack of zombies comes, its all over and the killing/escape begins. Thankfully its free-roam for the most part.

It looks nice though. The borderlandish outlay is also a good feel. If not a bit too cartoony. To be honest, it gets a little too much like borderlands + fallout. The skill tree, the exp, the dmg per hit rolling off. Every zombie has a life bar.......I liked the melee combat though. Besides Zeno Clash hardly any game touches first person combat so nicely. Which i was also surprised that i could dismember people so easily, which is a - considering i can just whack away and everything dies.

Really fun sandlot game, but its a bit too sandboxish for the limited innovation.
7/10. Decent, worth a buy. Not insanely great, but i had fun.

Warhammer 40k: Space marines.

Because we haven't all played the fucking space marines enough. I get that they are basically the only humans, but for fucks sake, DWII doesn't even have the necro or taus yet so why this game?

Anyway: The game is what Warhammer should be about, WAR. Fuck squad based cover combat. This aint no modern gayfare. This is fucking war! When i first ran into a bunch of orks i was like....hmm, well this game looks decent i wonder if its as gay as 40k online *right click* ooh a chainsaw......ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ *50 orcs later* hmm, i think i like the melee combat lol.

This game is altogether brilliant. Great graphics, better gameplay, and it REALLY makes me like 40k again.(the last 5 years, excluding soulstorm, sucked dick.). From what i've played so far, it is deffinitely polished, and it deffinitely has reply. Considering mutiplayer/co-op both include a high amount of people, its almost a bargain because no other games out have decent co-op.

8.5/10. Its not the best game ever. I would have loved to play ANY of the other races instead of the space marines AGAIN, but it is a good game, it looks brilliant, and it truly does embody DoW40k and what the franchise is all about.
