    Most likely SSD. I don't understand why people think this is fake. They're obviously not tech savvy if they think it's not real. You can check out the source, everything is explain in-depth.

    Long story short, Windows 8 utilties UEFI which reduces the wait time for the computer to POST or load the BIOS. Then it loads a hibernated copy of the kernel (main component of most computer operating systems) thus starting the computer up quicker without having to have a cold boot (loading the drivers each time).
