I've got tired and boring always writing how to find minecraft.jar and how to do it so i decided to make a tutorial on it so I don't need to put info about how to do it.

Minecraft.jar For Windows


  1. Instructions
  2. First press the windows key + R or in the search bar, type %appdata%
  3. You will find Roaming folder
  4. Go in Roaming - .minecraft
  5. Open up the bin and open minecraft.jar with any suitable program ( WinRAR, 7zip)
  6. Delete META-INF to install Mods


Minecraft.jar MAC

  1. Instructions:
  2. First, open up Finder and go to your username
  3. Go to Library - Application Support - Minecraft
  4. Open up Bin
  5. 1st way to create a minecraft.jar : Compress Minecraft.jar - double click on the minecraft.jar.zip to unzip it - Name your original minecraft.jar into backup.jar and name the folder you got into minecraft.jar and add the extension
  6. 2nd way: Right click on minecraft.jar - name the original file as backup.jar and name the file to minecraft.jar
  7. Delete META-INF
