Well there both different games tho BF for the ps2 which i think is for ps3 was called Modern Combat
While for the pc it was just called BF2.

Its funny you say that because a lot of people are getting angry that when you buy the map pack you cant get the weapon pack if you don't pre-order the game which would save you money anyway.
