How to make your own GTA IV Server

IM NOT MAKING A JOKE OR SOMETHING

● Go to IV: Multiplayer - Downloads and download the latest client and server.

●Open the server map and then open settings.xml (right mouse-click and then edit).

-Edit the port, maybe you have to port forward but one of these MUST: UDP ports: 6672, 28900
TCP ports: 8001, 27900
UPD/TCP port: 3074

-Edit the http port where you upload your webserver (its the names map) files

-Edit the ip or server name where you upload your webserver files

-Now edit the other things; max players, max vehicles, password, if you want your server in the masterlist, the hostname or ip where you wanna run your server on (the easiest the ip that GTA said, in the game you must go to LIVE - then to setting and then to networkinformation, then see your local ip. You must likely use your external ip to connect to the server).
if you wanna have frequently events (lol), the scripts etc you wanna use and the modules and recources you wanna run your server on.

Have fun


-dont forget to save the file


Now you must have to run the client to install it.

Note: You must have LIVE to connect the server i thought, but im not sure.

Nice post, but by now the only thing you really have to change is your IP that you can get from Hamachi, easier way if you only want to play with friends
