Graphic Problems

Hello!
Im recently having problem with my PS3. My graphics are kinda bad, because I only can use 480p.
I checked my TV manual and It says it can hold 1080p so my question is how can I change it to 1080p?

I also have HDMI cable.

Here is info about my TV:

If you are able to see the PS3 menu and have your HDMI cable plugged in, Follow this guide from sony and you should be able to amp up your resolution to 1080i.

I did that, but In step 6 screen goes blank and to normal again and I never seen step 7 O.O

Fixed IT!
My dad changed cables and while HMDI was plugged in to ps3
Composite/S Video was too.
I don't know I think he was watching DVD and had to plugg it in.
As I said Ill give thank to @ and +rep
