How long could you live?

Okay so here's the scenario. Let's say you are about 25 or so. You have no job, no car, and no house. You come across $1,000,000. How long would you be able to live? Assuming you don't obtain a job.

Gab says about 2 years.

Toxin says about 100 years.

I say about 35 years.

Post a rough telling of how you would go about living. i.e

*Pay off a house for 300k
*Pay off a car for 50k
Leaves me 650k
*Max of 5k for food a year

It depends on where you live. If you live in an apartment on the North Eastern side of the US your good for maybe two years. But if you go to the midwest you can find a ranch or a nice old style colonial with about 20 acres for 150k. Cost of living is less over there as well, I estimate midwest about 40 years. Now, if you move to Africa you'll be the king of whatever country you go to because they apparently can live off two pennies a day (according to charities).

If I stay at my current location in North Jersey, I could live in my current house for another 5 years on a million dollars.

Well, that completely depends on HOW the money is spent. If I were in that position, I would rent out a cheap ass room, and head my ass off to college, and do some upgrading, working my ASS off to get great marks and to get accepted into a normal university.

Afterwards, I would work really hard getting a computer degree, paying my bills, and food. At the end of it all, I would hope to get a job, and if not, I would buy a $3 000 computer, and get coding. I would start applying to places on the Internet, or make things to get me noticed by companies, and eventually get a job. With around 200 000, or more left, I would have a job, and be able to live the rest of my life in absolute happiness, eventually getting my own house, a wife, some kids, and so on.

If I do not obtain a job, however, I would have to live in a shitty house, living to the bare minimum, and I could probably live for the rest of my life naturally.
