Gonna sell computers

MY dad says I should consider selling computers on ebay as a way to earn money through my hobby. I looked at the main competition in eBay AU and most of them are making a few hundred per computer, which is A LOT, and a complete total rip off but I won't question the IQ of the buyer. Only problem is the sellers have a lot of rep and are selling at least 20 different builds. Do you think I can do it? Obviously I'll be selling at around their price otherwise I'll be accused of undercutting. If I can sell a single computer within a week then I'll continue. If I can't sell then I get a new computer and I owe my parents some money.

What I'm worried is that if I undercut, competitors will drop their prices so I'll have to lower mine to have the edge, reducing my profits. If I charge roughly the same price but offer better quality or more support I can still have a following and some headroom to change around my prices.

If these people you're competing against are trusted sellers on ebay and know what they're doing, undercutting is the best way to get some business and some credit to back up future business.

Why don't you talk with Ravi and Alen and provide to USA and Europe as well? Ravi could probably get you some parts for cheaper so you could make the same profit as the others

Or you could have a local business if you live in a decent town. If you live in the ghetto I would just go with ebay less time outside means less of a chance of getting shot
