Remove thermal on thermal scope?

Before i didn't care about the thermal scope. But then i saw a video on youtube that the thermal scope reduce recoil alot (and of course increase the range) on many weapons. So now i use thermal scope on light machine guns and i kick ass.

And now the question:
Is it possible to remove the thermal on thermal scope?

I use texture hack and if i could remove the thermal part.......well....many moab will rain upon the enemy

Well, I saw some place here.
That there was a way to activate the thermal scope.
I suppose by reversing that code would do your job.

But then you would have to face that it's a risk for ban...
