are you building a computer or are you replacing parts? if you are replacing parts, then how old is your pc???

So with that boot thingy what its trying to tell you to do is go into your bios and change your boot settings so that the first device the computer tries to boot from is your optical drive (cd/dvd drive) that way if you ever have a problem with your harddrive when you stick in a recovery cd or something, it'll boot from the cd instead of trying to boot from a possibly broken hard drive.

i usually just replace the damn thing when it hits 3-4 years. but yeah, you do need thermal greese, unless your replacing the fan
