How do you avoid people charging back their credits cards after a sell?

Hey, if you are talking about credit card here then there is no way to avoid it, but if you are talking about getting paid or paying for something with credit card linked to your Paypal or with Paypal balance then the only way the other party can't charge back or start a dispute is if he/she send the payment as a "GIFT" at first place through Paypal. Once the payment as been send as a "GIFT" there is no way to charge back or start a dispute. Or just use a middle man is easy way. Hope this helps. Thanks.

The purpose of Paypal is to prevent that from happening. When dealing with online goods, it's caveat emptor (let the buyer beware), so you really have nothing to worry about. Trust me, I've been scammed after buying online goods via Paypal and it seemed like everything was in favor of the seller so I never got my money back or the goods.

Well, you will be safe since if the buyer decide to charge back he/she got to do it on middle man since he got the money then send it to you. I doubt the buyer will do that on middle man since he helped out with the trade to go with out any scam and wasting his time, but you never know. I will say this again, if your really worried about getting charged back or the middle man gets charged back the safest way to go with Paypal is tell the buyer to send the payment as a gift or there won't be any deal. This is the best and safest way I can think right now as the buyer won't be able to charge back or start a dispute when he/she send the payment as a gift. Hope you did read my last post. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't check this thread anymore. If you have your bank account linked to Paypal and if the payment is send as a "gift" using Paypal balance or bank account there is no charge to seller or buyer but if your sending the payment using credit card etc. There is a small charge to buyer but not the seller. (Don't hold me on that though, that's as far as I know. You could probably find it under F.A.Q. in Paypal site). Also let me tell you this that never send payment as a "gift" if you don't know the seller or you don't trust her/him. Since it could easily lead to the buyer being scammed if the seller decided not to send the goods after and the buyer have no chance to charge back or dispute since he/she send the payment as a "gift". Never send payment as "gift" on eBay or anywhere else if the seller asked you to do so. It will be most likely fraud unless you know her/him.
