o.o, this doesnt do that. This gives your iDevice all features locked by apple, like free apps, custom themes, tweaks, add-ons, and other great stuff apple wont unlock.

there are different jailbreaks for different iDevices/firmwares. Unfortunately for your friend, this specific jailbreak only works for the iPad 2/iPhone 4S running on iOS5

Unlocking: Allowing to use your iPhone on different carriers. (Say you bought it with Verizon, but you're on T-Mobile. Unlocking will allow you to use it on T-Mobile.)
