I own a 360 but have experienced the PS3. People only want to say one is better because they own that one. If you have owned multiple consoles before (Xbox/Ps2), was there much to complain about? It's a tough decision. Honestly, PC is always better, but since I own a 360 I'll say that for a few reasons:

1) Cleaner online system
2) Cheaper at this time
3) A lot of people play it online over the PS3.
4) Can I say more games or is it not like that anymore?

Anyway, I just want people to play with so go with a 360

Trust me. Ps3 is better than the 360 hands down.
Ive had my ps3 since it came out (2006)
And ive had NO problems with it.
Sure it costs more money. But they money you pay gives you a much better system.
For example. The 360 has the red ring of death. I think it is. Meaning your hardware is failing.
Another example why Ps3 is better than xbox. If you take the 360 outside. Lets say in the summer. Its going to get fucked up. On the other hand, Ps3, you can take it outside.

Ps3 is MUCH more quiet than the 360.
Ps3's controllers dont need batteries (rechargeble built in battery)
Much more easier GUI (interface)
Blu-ray
MUCH better processing speed. (meaning better graphics)

The list can go on and on.

But the ps3 is much fucking better than the 360

Depends, are you looking for games or a good console to play around with? Would you be willnig to pay about $100 a year for developer membership on the Xbox 360(enabling you to create your own game with the XNA framework for DirectX, and preexisting engines to work off) Of coarse you do have the PS3, which doesn't offer that service. There may be ways around it, but as far as I know, there aren't any cheap services you can buy off Sony. On the other hand, the PS3 allows you to install your own operating system on the machine(Your windows install disk won't work out of the box) I think there are some changes that have to be made to the OS in order for it to operate on the PS3. Even at that, it would operate quite slowly. Personally I'd say 360, but I never play it soh :S

I owned a PS3 and I didn't like it one bit.
The online is way too basic, meaning you can't have 1 on 1 chats, or parties, like the Xbox offers.
PS3 has some good games online, but barely anybody has a mic.
Like Zhell said, the hardware in the 360 isn't the best, but the repair is free and you get a free 1-month Xbox Live card.
When I was playing Metal Gear Solid 4, the PS3 had to INSTALL the game so that load times we're not long, which is really bad.
PS3 has Blu-ray, so what? Xbox 360 has Netflix on it and you can watch streaming movies.

Xbox 360 wins.

ps3, cuz it has blu-ray saves ya money on buying another blue ray player, but games r xpensieve... and xbox 360 is gonna be replaced with a xbox 720 or something soon ; \
and the rechargable batteries save u loads of money and uhhhhh........................???????????????????e rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
