    Internet connection

I used to use wifi for my connection to the internet, but for the past month or so, my ping has increased from around 200 to spiking amounts between 250 and 500 (in the same server). I switched to using an ethernet cable instead (cat6e). My ping improved to between 230 and 280, but is still not at it's best. What can I possibly do to get back to 200? I know it's not my modem or provider's problem, because the ping on my laptop was 200 and same with my old desktop. I need to fraps some clips soon, so I need to be comfortable with the ping on my gaming desktop. HELP ME OUT PLEASE! ANY QUESTIONS BELOW!

    >After completely cooled down, turn it on again, and check your Crossfire. DO NOT open fraps just yet.

Set the 'crossfire.exe' process to low priority...

Aren't you uploading/seeding anything right? Let only CrossFire use your internet connection.

Like I said, I close absolutely everything, I also quit every single unused process in task manager. I don't download anything either

You like to rain down on everything, do you.

    It's worth a try.

Once again, it's worth a try. There's no need to comment on something, saying that 'it won't work', or it won't work for anybody. Every suggestion counts.
