I play the bong.
Pretty easy to "get good at it" to.
So within the next few months hopefully I will be starting guitar lessons. I'm just wondering how easy it is to learn (and get good at the guitar). I've been playing piano for about 10 years now and I have played Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. So I know all of the main music stuff. Just really wondering how the transfer over would be.
Also basic instrument thread. What you play/have played.

Its pretty easy. Just make sure you start good and end good
I play the drums, they aren't too difficult to pick up if you are willing to put the effort into it. Basically my entire family plays guitar, my sister is a music major in college and my grandfather was in a band for 10 years, guitar is a lot of fun but again you have to put the time into it or you aren't going to get anything out of those lessons.
I played drums but I have to say guitar is harder you really have to PRACTICE
Talk to the guitar people in here
@Gab
@PasterOfMuppets I might be forgetting some
Given your background you should be able to grasp chords and the pentatonic scale fairly easily.
You have sheet music down already, and given that you know classic,
guitar tab should be relatively easy for you to learn.
If you know the music theory, you'll be good for the shapes/chords. I think you'll have a hard time to see your scales, since they are easy to see on the piano, but not on the guitar.
My father plays guitar, has been playing for 20+ years. He got me into drums but i stopped playing around the 7th grade. got really boring.
