What is MPHG?
MPHG stands for: Multiplayer Hunger Games! Instead of MPGH - it is MPHG - MPHG is a contest that will be held one day at the end of every month (The last weekend before the end of the month so everyone can attend). The contest will be held on @Rigby's server; and yes - it will be whitelisted, because we will not allow the use of any hacks, mods, or hacked clients. We want to keep this contest fair, and enjoyable. We have a set requirements that you will have to meet to be whitelisted and entered into the contest. The contest will be a series of 3 "rounds" (meaning we play the same map 3 times - person who is last man standing the most out of the 3 maps - wins! I.E; 2/3 maps I was last person) of a different map each month - to keep some variety and an equal chance of winning each month. We will not announce which map we are using until the day BEFORE the event. Some maps will require you to survive by finding chests - and ONLY chests. Some will be like a real hunger games server where you will actually try to survive (Breaking blocks, getting food, etc).

*Because this is the first event, we will give you ALL the information at first hand, not one day before the event. This will give you a feel of how the event will work, etc.

How to Participate: To participate in the 1st MPHG contest, you first must follow and meet all requirements, and follow all rules. The rules will be held against you during the game; you were warned. If you follow all rules, meet all requirements, and want to participate please PM me (@Cronus-) and tell me you would like to participate in the MPHG.

Date of Event: 5/26/12 (Saturday) - The FIRST round of the 1st MPHG contest will start on 5/26/12 at 2:30PM (PST Zone - Pacific Standard Time) - If you live in a different time zone, please convert your time to PST so you know when the games will be. 2 hours before the games start Me, Rigby, or anyone else who is competing / managing the contest will make an announcement and bump the thread so everyone has a 2 hours notice before the event. I want to try and make the contest available to anyone and everyone - if you are unable to make the contest due to your time zone, please tell me what time it would be there at 2:30 PST, and why you can't make it and what your time zone is. I will try and make the time accessible for everyone and anyone so we can get a good amount of people to play so there is a real competition.


Rules & Requirements

• Only ONE player can win the MPHG. (Per Round AND Contest)
• You can not break any blocks besides; vines, mushrooms, and leaves.
• You are only allowed to place blocks you find in a chest.
• Your inventory must be completely cleared and empty before the game starts.
• No player can enter the "host" room. (That managers the redstone, and when the game starts).
• Our BIGGEST rule; NO hacks, mods, or hacked clients. Not even the smallest mod is allowed. We will NOT tolerate unfair gameplay by another player; we are trusting everyone to be mature, and take off their hacked client (if they use one) and play legit for this contest. If you blow off our trust and abuse it; you will most likely be blacklisted from this event and frowned upon.

• Must have at LEAST 10 "legit" posts in the Minecraft section. (Legit = Helpful, mature, resourceful, useful, etc).
• Must have sportsmanlike attitude. No bitching and moaning if you lose.

Well, before the match people will be able to look around, and view where chests are. If we did like 2-3 events BEFORE this one and knew where all the chests were; what would be the competition besides other people getting to them first? See what I'm saying? Though, I see what you mean.

Though, before Dave approves it we need a legit, and available reward. Any ideas?

Note;
This is a "draft" thread, and the event will not be active this month. I will continue to develop the idea, but instead we'll do it next month. I will think of a legitimate reward for the winner of each contest - once approved it will be an active contest.
