It is completely functional on Mac OSX.

Confirmed working 4 / March / 2013, Xubuntu 12.10

Procedure:

Run MinecraftSP.jar. You will get a black screen. Close the application.

Download latest lwjgl.
Replace the contents of /.minecraft/bin with /jar inside lwjgl's zip file.
Replace the contents of /.minecraft/bin/natives with /native/linux inside lwjgl's zip file.

Run MinecraftSP.jar again. Minecraft should work.

Sound seems a little buggy, but runs faster than Win32's versiom under Wine.
