Dude.... no one stops eating for months, and even if they do, its their choice. Ramadan is just fasting from sunrise to sundown, the priority of Ramadan fasting is not to eat, but to get more spiritual and such. Cut the patriotic and progressive bullshit man, its nauseating.

This isn't a 'tradition' , It's sort of a prayer in it's own way. It's part of a religion. I can't explain much further , But really it isn't an 'old tradition' that people just did in their spare time for whatever it's worth
