Make Steam Stop Changing Banned Keys Back
I thought i'd share this with people who are a steam fan and sick of not being able to play Dayz through steam, because you got banned and replaced your key. I take zero credit, I simply stumbled upon this and simplified it better.
- Hit your start button and type in run
- In the run bar type in "regedit" *DON'T EDIT ANYTHING unless you know what youre doing*
- Search for the folder Arma 2 OA , mines here: "hkey_local_machine/software/bohemia interactive/arma 2 oa" Note: you can use the search function to find "Arma 2 oa" - Edit drop menu, then search.
- Right click on the folder, hit permissions, then advance.
- Select Administrators, hit edit, then select deny for set value.
- Now select the new option you created and hit ok.
That's it you should be all set for that key and be able to run steam dayz with steam now.
If you're going to change your key again you're going to have to allow set value then reset it back afterwards.
