Neolithic, I have exactly the same problem. As many others in this thread i also have the black & purple screen in spectate mode so i thought i did something wrong copying the files over into my CSGO folder, so i did it all from scratch again. Deleted my old folders replacing then with new ones so i could place the materials back into the folders and now my game wont start at all. It launches goes too desktop and then closes with no sign of CS:GO.

This fixed it for me:

1. Delete "pak_01.dir.vpk" from the "csgo" folder
2. Rename "pak_01.dir.vpk.backup" to "pak_01.dir.vpk"
3. Copy VPK patcher to "csgo" folder.
4. Drag and drop "pak_01.dir.vpk" into VPK patcher.

Hack doesn't work for me or my friend anymore.

We are getting some error that says that gameinfo.txt doesnt exist in the csgo folder.

Just installed it and works perfect, thanks (only had to patch pak01_dir by myself, not a problem).

I think previous version had antiflash but this version doesnt. Is it possible to have this version with antiflash?

did you try just download & copy? cause the pak01dir.vpk is already patched give it a try
