MPGHCraft is LIVE!
Earlier this week, ryakhawk created a thread explaining how MPGHCraft was in dire need of donations to host the server. A few members of MPGH were courteous enough to donate some money towards this project. Shortly after, it was posted that ryakhawk had used the donation money to purchase a host for MPGHCraft.
Two days after this, Ahmad announced the official release of MPGHCraft, and finally released the IP to the public. If you would like to read more on the release, or check out the IP, go here.
Minions
Lately, Minions have been resigning from their position on MPGH. About 6 days ago, @Ahmad, who was a Minion for the Minecraft section (for just two months so far) resigned from his position. @Kid Cudi (previously Eminem) resigned from his position a few days later as a Minion for the Combat Arms section. One day later, @Jorndel had also resigned from his position as a Minion here at MPGH. Jorndel plans to stick around and keep contributing to MPGH - it's unknown if Kid Cudi or Ahmad will stay active here on MPGH. If you'd like to read their resignation threads, go here (Kid Cudi's) or here (Jorndel's) (Ahmad did not make a public resignation thread). Good luck, and farewell Minions.
With the resignation of a few Minions, means the uprise of new ones! Keep on the lookout for more Minion applications.
User News @Sjoerd has been permanently banned ..again.
In other news, MPGH picked up a few new minions, and Minion applications are right around the corner.
The Combat Arms section is looking for some NEW Minions - specifically in either EU, AU, or NZ. If you'd like to check out the applications, or possibly apply (if you're from one of those countries) - go here.

PRISON BREAK!
129 inmates escaping from a northern Mexico prison took the ease way out. Not breaking through a wall or digging an underground tunnel. The bastards walked out the front door! Authorities are now on a manhunt across the border of Eagle Pass, Texas. 16 workers at the prison including the prison director were taken into custody. "The crisis in the Mexican prison system is serious and must be addressed urgently," Beltrones - a Mexican politician said. "In the past six years, more than 1,000 inmates have escaped from state prisons. From the federal prisons, not one," wrote the Mexican President (Filipe Calderon). At this time, there has been no reports of any escapees attempting to cross the border into the united states.
Royal Family Porn for Sale?
Big news for the UK as MORE pictures of the topless Duchess of Cambridge (Princess Kate) arise in magazines all over Europe. The French magazine 'Closer' was fined on Tuesday for publishing these said pictures and were ORDERED not to distribute them in print, nor online. The magazine was ordered to hand over the original photos but a French court, and had to pay a fine of 2,000 euros (equivalent to about $2,600 USD). They will need to pay an additional 10,000 euros every day they are late on handing over the photos. The Royal Family also took action by filing a CRIMINAL complaint on invasion of privacy charges. Sweedish and Danish magazines also have the pictures but a spokesman for the Royal Family declined to comment on them.

F2P FPS Arctic Combat's open beta out soon?
In my biased opinion, this game is amazing. One of the best F2p shooters i've played since RTCW/W:ET which debuted around 2001. Arctic Combat has an unusual feel for a F2P game, mainly the ability to ADS even with iron sights. The CB ended a few weeks ago, and the upcoming open beta has no release date at this moment. Stay tuned and check AC's website for more future info.
BioWare confirms development of Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
BioWare has announced Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, the next chapter in the role-playing saga, is in development at BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal. Set to be published by EA, the game is once more set to focus on ‘deep RPG gameplay’ and is set to be powered by a brand new RPG game engine underpinned by Frostbite 2 technology – the same engine which powers the likes of first-person shooters Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Mark Darrah (series executive producer) said on his blog ‘Recently, I said that we didn’t want to talk about Dragon Age III unless we had something to show. I’m trying to stick to that plan and won’t be revealing much today. That said, a lot of information and rumors have surfaced recently and we don’t want to hide from them. There are a bunch of things that I really want to share with you but I want to do this right, and doing it right requires some more time.’
‘So here’s what I can confirm for now:
- The next game will be called Dragon Age III: Inquisition.
- We won’t be talking about the story of the game today. Though you can make some guesses from the title.
- This game is being made by a lot of the same team that has been working on Dragon Age since Dragon Age: Origins.
- It’s composed of both experienced BioWare veterans and talented new developers.
- We are working on a new engine which we believe will allow us to deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization. At PAX East, we talked about armor and followers… Yeah, that kind of customization. We’ve started with Frostbite 2 from DICE as a foundation to accomplish this.’
Verizon CFO claims that "unlimited" is just a word, it doesn't really mean anything"
It appears that Verizon's CFO Fran Shammo is a bit of a hot head, and like most major corporations doesn't care about the companies customers. Today at a Goldman Sachs investor conference he stated "Unlimited is justa word, it doesn't really mean anything". While other telecom companies might differ, Shammo then dug the hole deeper by saying, "That whole unlimited thing, I think, is going by the wayside". Those comments were made in the context of shammo playing up the carriers shared data plans, where he blurted out his belief that consumers "think they consume a lot more data than they really do". He also revealed that Verizon has converted more subscribers and devices over to the new scheme that what was initially anticipated. Now that Sprint is in a position to offer unlimited data at a reasonable speed and T-Mobile has climed aboard the bandwagon, Verizon perhaps has to pull up it's shorts and change it's attitude, or they will most likely lose a significant numbers within their subscriber base.
Nvidia Devlops High-Performance ARM-Based "Boulder" Microprocessor - Report
Nvidia is reportedly working on an ultra high-speed performance system-on-chip based on ARM architecture. The chip is called project Boulder and it's designed by Nvidia's graphics processing unit team. Apparently Boulder is due in 2014, is said to be aimed at AMD Opteron and Intel Xeon chips in enviroments where their x86 nature does not matter much (e.g., high-performance computering). Essentially, Nvidia wants HPC servers featuring Telsa compute accelerators to use Boulder instead of traditional x86 processing units to perform "serial" tasks. At this time, nothing particular is known about Boulder, but it's alleged difference from Denver suggests that this will be a high-performance architecture with high-end execution units, massive multi-level, multi-MB caches; advanced branch-predictors; extremely efficent dispatch; advance scheduling and other features today found on advanced x86 central processing. Nvidia did not comment on this news-story.
German court rules that Motorola, Samsung don't violate Apple touch event patent
Seems like Samsung and Motorola caught a break from the law. A Mannheim, Germany court ruled that neither of the companies infringed on an Apple patent covering how an OS responds and ignores to touch events. While full details are unknown at this point, patent lawsuit guru Florian Mueller suggest that the German judge took the same point of view that thwarted Apple's claims in the Netherlands and the UK. The particular patent was just too broad and stick. It's a potentially important win, as a ruling of violation could have led to serious problems with keeping Android-based motorola and Samsung devides in stores.
