i know its a little late now, but is it still a good idea to get bf3 or should i just wait till bf4 comes out next year or something?

I suggest you get Battlefield 3 and premium, because if there is going to be a Battlefield 4 it probably won't be out until late 2014, unless they keep the same engine. Then mid-late 2013. Both are still quite a long time away.
Could you wait that long?
