There are about six movements in that show, the average is 2-3, and each movement has about I'd estimate over 2000 pages of drill work, the marching alone is impeccable.

It becomes easier when you have the music down pat. When I was in the drumline our shows were 4 movements long, about 3200 pages of drill work in total though. Every eight pages of drill was one measure of sheet music. So when you're counting it became a lot easier to figure out where to go at each part of your own music. In my head I would be thinking "flam tap tap paradiddle left tap quarter right flam-diddle forward rimshot" without even realizing it.
