First things first...color, needs color!! :P
Other than that it's not bad, a little LQ but not bad.


You did show me the colored version already. From what I remember about it the depth looked a little off (it doesn't look too bad here) the colors were kind of random and the face was way too prominent. And the border was very strange from what I remember, if there was a border.


I know how it feels to start up again, its hard. Styles have really changed since me or you have been around and it's hard to get up to that new level of decency.



All in all though it's really not bad just keep color in mind. Black and white is just too easy haha. If you can get the color down on top of a decent picture then you're gonna have a great piece! Keep it up man. Lemme know when you finish that other sig you were working on!

Ofcourse. No criticism = no improvement . Plus I've been here since '07, so I know pretty much how shit's being dealt with these days.

I personally like black and whites, but they look better when you really detail that aspect.
What I mean by that is don't just simply do a hue adjustment, or use any other conventional b&w techniques
But work adjustment layers, bring the detail out in the piece by messing with black&white gradients.
Not to be a show off here or anything but I'm just gonna put the last b&w I did next to yours as a comparison.
I'm only doing this to better convey what I mean as far as not sticking to the simple methods.

See how with my piece there is a decent balance of the Black+white and the poppy looking spots?
When you go with the simple b&w methods you tend to get more of a greyscale,
with not too much emphasis on the Black and white.
I dunno just something to keep in mind next time you make a B&W.
Overall though the compo isn't too shabby
