    A Cheat Engine trainer is simply a Free Pascal executable with an overlay (data appended to the end of the file). The overlay is probably different now (used to be some sort of raw data but now it seems to be a LUA script) but because CE is open source, the trainer generation process is easy to discern.

    It depends on what language it was programmed in, any .net languages go with something like "Jetbrains dotPeek".

    It can open the .CETRAINER extension, but not the .exe ones.
