Jail Breaking Ipod touch generation 4

My friend wanted me to Jail Break her ipod for her, but I was just wondering,
Can you Jail Break Ios 6.0.1?
Or would it be far better off down-grading to 5 and jail breaking from there?

I didn't jailbreak my Iphone :') I did it for my friend who didn't know how

First of all you can't downgrade without your 5.1.1 your SHSH blobs backed up, and currently there is no untethered jailbreak available for the 6.0.1 iPod touch., I recommend you wait till a untethered jailbreak is released, and there is no such thing as a good or bad jailbreak there all the same thing, the guy that told you that the 6.0.1 jailbreak sucks because he used a tethered jailbreak which requires your computer to restart or turn on your device.

Yes, it is better to wait. There are ways to downgrade without the SHSH blobs, however it is too much of a pain in the ass if you don't already know how to custom Jailbreak your iOS device. Also, tell her not to upgrade again until more reviews are out, the consensus on iOS 6x so far does not look good whatsoever.

Yes I would wait for untethered, there are many bugs they are still fixing and so join the wait line, I have been waiting since 6.0 was released.
