Find Minecraft blocks based on their ID

BlockFinder is a free, easy to use Minecraft tool written in Java which allows you to find any block based on its unique block ID.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Select "File" from the menu, and "Open Minecraft World Directory". Navigate to thedirectory named "region" within your Minecraft saves. If you would like to find
Nether-specific blocks, navigate to the DIM-1 subdirectory and choose its
corresponding region directory.

To populate the database, select any blocks you desire from the list and click
"Extract Chunk Data". Keep in mind that selecting very common blocks, like dirt
or stone, will take a very long time.Once done you now have a map of coordinates based on the blocks you specified.

To get the exact locations, you may choose fromthree options:

Get all Blocks by ID:
For example specifying an ID of 56 will list all Diamond ores on the map. Just dig to their x, y, and z coordinates.

Get Block at Position:
Entering the x, y and z coordinates will return the block ID at that position. Not
entirely useful.

Define Range:
This is probably most useful for miners who have mapped out an area to mine deep underground. This setting maps out an arbitrary cube defined by a pair of
3-dimensional coordinates and lists all blocks in this area. The top x, y, z values
must be smaller than the bottom values.
