That's funny. I've been using PCs for years and I've never encountered such a problem. In all likelihood this was caused by malware, not by a system failure. That's like blaming mass shootings on the mentally ill when in fact the vast majority of the mentally ill are harmless, benign, and often functional, beneficial members of society.

it happens on really slow windows xp PCs and programs just stop responding
