Crossfire - Your own version

Hey, this might sound stupid, but I asked myself how CF FG made its own version. How do they make one? Do they just ask the files from those Chinese developers and then mod it?

That's no problem, buddy. I am a junior programmer. I can fully setup databases on my own. I had my own Terraria server (which uses SQLite). And I also do web programming (MySQL and MySQLi). The only problem is security and anti-hacking. (If I am able to make my own version, then I probably won't use permium coins, which is a plus in security.)

But the problem is the Crossfire (files) itself. How do I get access to those files? Do I need to leech them off from those Chinese devs?

It's not about the server, it's about the expierence with different types of databases. We're going off-topic, but what matters is that I can handle a database on my own.

to give the server files, i think you must send them an e-mail, and then buy it from them...
