I can change the opacity, a bit higher, I still have the psd file so:P

I dont like my outcome, however i do like urs ;d

you try this maybe

New layer
Fill the whole layer with the color white using paint bucket tool
Make that layer overlay and then if you need to you can change the opacity maybe?
