So I had problems lately with my fucking Black Ops 2. I have a clean 125 fps. But, about every 10-15 seconds I get a major fps drop (5-10 FPS)
I went through so many settings and shit. I searched Google for hours on end and found fucking nothing of use. I remember from BO1 that people with REALTEK Audio Cards had major fps issues. I remembered the fix and tried it. It actually fucking worked. I don't know the real reason why this actually works, or how sound has anything to do with graphics display but yeah....
Here is how to do it.
1. Go to control panel
2. Go to sound
3. Find your REALTEK Audio Device and click the properties button
4. Go to the "Advanced" tab at the far right of the top of the window
5. Where it says "Default Format". Click the drop down box and select " 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)
6. Where it says "Exclusive Mode" un-tick the box that says "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
Now open Black Ops 2 MP
After it has finished loading hit "ctrl+alt+del" (task manager). Go to the processes tab, then look for "steam.exe" and "t6mp.exe".
Right click "Steam.exe" and go to priority. Change it to "low". Now go to the "t6mp.exe" process and change the priority to "high". Also, with the t6mp.exe process, right click it, go to "affinity" and un-tick the box that has "CPU 0" next to it, then click "ok".
Go back into your game and go to settings. Go to advanced and set the frame-rate limit to either "60" or "125".
Enjoy your stutter and lag free game
