This has been mentioned several times.
It is not possible without REZ Hacking.

People say what they have to say at best, common sense, to change a sound file. But since they did never do it, they don't know it, so when you're going to ask for the path location of ghosts sound file, they just don't know what to answer. they just assume something they aren't sure of.. fuck logic

As you said, thousands of ppl hack and I mean, if they'd track 'em all like the half of world ppl need to go to jail bcus of hacking in some
shitty game. And noone wants to do the work to track 'em all, because it would take like... too long.

And REZ files when deleted get restored when launching the game. You can try it, do a backup if you're doubtful

Yup, I don't know if REZ hacking is possible anymore, if the file size is changed, it will be replaced.

I got cfrez and can change my awm to awp sound of css or shit,
just need to look at da sizes /lulz

what's cfrez? a sort of software tool or you're just refering to rez files of crossfire?

In the rez files, and there's no way to lower the sound of a REZ file with 'your' method. you give instructions but you can't even do it yourself... never talk about something you don't know what you're talking about. :L

I did this long time ago, all sounds is located in rez/RF018.REZ. But now I don't think you can change it cause you'll need a Xtrap bypass.
