How to use your new Arma 2 OA CD key with your normal steam account (After Ban)

Things you will need:
Arma 2 OA key (Unbanned,Valid CD Key)
Steam
Administrator on PC

*Extra: Your CD KEY can not be stolen after you finish the steps of this guide because you are basically locking your CD key so your original steam account with a banned key can't change it back. So that means other programs can't touch your key

Hello. I understand you might be a bit angry that you got caught or you didn't do it even I didn't but that is not relevant is it? Well if your key is stolen you can find many videos on Youtube to get it back but if it gets banned I am sorry you will need to buy a new one. I recommend not buying a key from random people because they are all stolen keys and they might reuse them and give them to a hacker that will just get them banned. Well most of them I bought mine from steam because I felt safe with it. It took me 2 days to find the exact right thing to do.

Now you will need a new key I don't care how you get it just make sure it isn't banned and it is valid.
You are going to want to make a new steam account and don't forgot anything (Username Pass etc...) and you are going to want to activate a Arma 2 OA key or buy it from there. I didn't buy Arma 2 OA only I bought Arma 2 because I wanted to be sure.

Now after you bought it go to the Arma OA it should be installed if you already had it and run it. You will be able to play now but I want to teach you how to use your original account without steam changing your key. *Tip change your profile name

Now you want to download Darkys key checker and go to your new steam account and view CD KEY and check if is the same thing. The next thing you do is go to start and type Run and you type: Regedit

You need to go to HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE
Open that up and click software at the very bottom you will have Wow6432Node you are going to want to search Bohemia interactive studio
You want to marker your ARMA 2 OA file and right click on it you should see Permissions then you have a list of users click Administrator
then at the bottom right click ADVANCED click again on Administrator and click edit then the third option is Set Value and it should be now on Deny so then steam can't change your key automatically. Now you go to your normal steam and you can now log on to your normal steam account and play Arma 2 and make a new profile to your liking.

This. But I think OP helped a couple of noobs with that question though.

I'm sure it helped a few, I've noticed the majority of people playing with either sixlauncher, dayz-commander needs more popularity.

Thing is it is not only mean't for DayZ this is mean't for wasteland players to. This is away without using a thrid party launcher that will just bug you each time.

Spoiler: I am a super tech noob.

I made a new steam and bought all the arma stuff, and i did the whole regedit thingy.

You did not make it exactly clear if you wanted us to switch the CD key from the new account with the existing one using darkythingy, THEN do the regedit thingy.

Because the way i see it, if i try to launch arma on my existing steam it should still contain the banned CD key, right? Please let me know how retarded I am.
