I advise picking up a pair of Grado SR-80i (about $80) or Sony MDR-V6 ($65) if you want to get started in real high-fidelity headphones.

The One and Only...
How about the following headset?
It costs barely 50 dollars, and the sound is just so damn accurate.
I had it, used it for two years before I accidently dropped it pretty hard and broke it. You can attach/detach the microphone, you can bend the microphone and its really really neat.
Oh yeah: It's called Fatality MK II
V-Moda Crossfade LP's for $110. Absolutely the best headphones for the price, if not over all.

Do they have a detachable kevlar-plated chord that never tangles and will never rip?
Do they have 24k gold-plated connector points?
Can the headband bend without breaking?
Are they built like an indestructible tank?
Do they have enough bass to literally push themselves off of your head?
Do they feel like magical clouds on your ears?
Do they have removable and customizable faceplates?
Do they come with a rock solid carrying case?
Can go on for hours.
