The Great Gatsby Is The Triumph Of Female-Driven Spectacle

Watch Pain And Gain Online Needless to say, there's going to be no shortage of Monsters University representation at Disney World and Disneyland this Memorial Day. Those willing to brave the heat and the inevitable crowds might want to plan a trip to the parks to get in on the fun and enjoy the promised limited-edition specialty merchandise and food and beverage offerings and other surprises to be featured during the event. With so many titles to choose from, Netflix Instant's library can be overwhelming. So we bring you this biweekly column as a tool to cut through the clutter by highlighting some now streaming titles that pair nicely with the latest theatrical releases.

Watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 Online For In the Woods, he’ll play the married baker, whose wife was rendered barren by a spell placed on her by a real bitch of a witch, whose dastardly ways will be dealt out by Meryl Streep . The baker heads into the titular woods to find the witch, running into all your favorite storybook characters along his journey. While we originally thought Johnny Depp would play the baker, he has officially signed on to play the big bad (presumably wildly eccentric) wolf.

Watch Iron Man 3 Online Into the Woods will begin filming in London this September, and I for one am feeling a lot better about this project now that Corden has stepped into the role. Gatsby was indeed great this weekend. Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic bowed in with $51 million, the third largest opening of the year to date. That was something of a financial coup for Luhrmann as The Great Gatsby made more this weekend than most of his movies have earned domestically during their entire run. But, as great as it was, it still wasn't enough to swing number one.

Watch The Iceman Online Last weekend's champ Iron Man 3 held on to the top spot, adding $72 million to its now $284 million domestic total. That pushed it well ahead of Oz The Great and Powerful's $229 million as the highest grossing film so far this year. Slightly bigger news is that the third Iron Man entry is poised to fly past the $1 billion mark in international sales by next weekend, making it possible that the movie will break into the international all time top ten before the summer is out.

Watch The Call Online Tyler Perry might not have been behind the camera for Tyler Perry Presents Peeples, but as producer having his name in the title didn't seem to help the movie live up to his usual box office performance. With just $4.8 million the movie tanked in at a very distant fourth place. Given Seth MacFarlane’s knowledge and talent when it comes to musical numbers, it was a little odd that his 2012 blockbuster smash Ted went the route of MacFarlane’s other talent: filthy joke writing. Granted, Ted did sing Hootie and the Blowfish, but that’s not what I’m talking about. His next film, the western-themed comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, doesn’t outwardly look like it will be musically-minded, but his latest bit of casting is just one more step in that direction.

Watch Evil Dead 2013 Online In other news, Deadline reports Universal Pictures will co-finance the picture, completing the Ted reunion. The film also now has a release date set for May 30, 2014. Tomorrow, Barbara Walters will reportedly appear on The View and let the world know she’s going to retire in exactly one year. During that time, the eighty-three-year-old will interview the President, host numerous ABC specials, continue to appear on The View and perhaps even revive her Academy Awards broadcast. All in all, it will likely be a fitting end to a storied career, but as for whether it could have just as easily waited another year is a matter of serious debate.

Watch G I Joe 2 Online Despite being on the air for more than fifty years, Walters remains one of the more popular journalists working today. Her segments on the year’s most fascinating people remain extremely popular. She’s always a potential candidate to be chosen for pressing interviews, and while she’s had some minor health problems, she’s in remarkably good shape for eighty-three. She easily could plunge forward another few years. That being said, Walters told The New York Times she’s interested in traveling on non-business which she hasn’t done in forever, and she’s looking forward to not having to chase down people for interviews. That certainly sounds like a great reason to retire, but considering once you leave the limelight it’s really hard to return, she better be really serious about actually leaving. After all, people still hold Jay Leno’s decision to bump Conan and return to The Tonight Show against him.

Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below… Over the past few years The Wanted and One Direction have waffled back and forth, with one band putting out a single only to be trumped by the other band a little further down the line. Just a few days after One Direction reportedly finished recording the band’s most recent album in the studio, The Wanted has put out a brand new video for the track “Walks Like Rihanna.” The video is fun and a little fanciful and gives a distinct nod to boyband heyday during its 3:34 runtime.

Watch MAMA Online Vulture reports Neil Patrick Harris will lend his universal appeal to the already impressive cast. Harris appeared on MacFarlane’s Family Guy a couple of times playing Barney, the How I Met Your Mother role that catapulted him back into the public consciousness. His last feature role was in the The Smurfs adaptation, and he will be appearing in its sequel this summer. He’ll also be reprising his role in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. None of those films are very musical, but his 2008 starring role in Joss Whedon’s Internet-borne Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog showed off many of his singing and dancing skills. And when combined with the off-centered lyrical stylings of co-star Sarah Silverman, the Mamma Mia! background of Amanda Seyfried, and MacFarlane’s throwback sensibilities, Harris’ casting seems to cement at least one musical number for Die in the West, which also co-stars Giovanni Ribisi, Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson. The film is about a coward farmer who wants to win his woman back, and enlists the assistance of a gunslinger’s wife, so expect some derogatory gun humor.

In a nod to the Backstreet Boys, the guys don white suits and dance around in choreographed moves before attempting a parody of N*Sync’s groundbreaking “Bye Bye Bye” video, with the guys in The Wanted tied up like moveable puppets on marionette strings. In the song, the guys aren’t trying to break up with a chick, however. Instead, they make fun of some chick about sucking at life before noting that she’s pretty hot because she “walks like Rihanna.” This song isn’t exactly the band’s best moment, but I do appreciate the nod to the heyday of boy bands that pops up in the video.
