Get down on all fours, get use to doing that and you will run incredibly fast.
I've started a while back and my times have been better everytime. However, I still need some serious running tips. I'm not sure how to properly run, are you suppose to :
Land on a flat foot then get on your toes to push forward and repeat?
Any helpful tips appreciated.

For some reason I start doing what you just said but my feet start going to fast I only have time to use my tip toes to touch the ground, I go incredibly fast when doing so but it doesn't last long since my toes start to hurt.

I get tired quickly by trying to catch up to my friend, my friend scored 2 miles in 16 minutes with flat shoes.
I feel that when running if you land and push off with the balls of your feet you run more efficiently and get better times not the toes themselves. If you use your full foot and land with your heel you lose momentum because your heel acts like a break.
Other things that can be done to help improve your time is lean forward slightly, landing on your foot with slightly bent knees, and stepping just in front of your center of mass.

You can but I would think you're more prone to slip or slide if you land incorrectly.
