Crossfire failed to download version.ini

hi all
i search everywhere and tried to replace version.ini with latest and other version.ini files but it also gets empty when i put a new file.
please help me, i used to play CF year before and was fine and i downloaded it from softonic. no crack or other websites.

I would recommend re-installing the game , instead of waiting hours for someone to upload for you a working one.

It must work , it's just members are lazy to upload stuff others problems.

wow it did worked for sure :'( i installed it and its 4gb and everytime i connect a server is says hack tool detected 0:2:0:0 and disconnects.
what do i do? i also tried ur technique i.e delete HGWC) and XTRAP folder but same problem pls dont tell me reinstall ((((((((( or if yes then pls gimme a WORKING link.\

Download Version.ini and put it in your crossfire folder in the following post of the following link :

If still don't working check your CF Folder
And give me a screen shot for the folder.
