TV's video is going out

I have a VIZIO 32 inch LCD (I think) TV and the video is going out. There are horizontal lines constantly going from top to bottom and the screen sometimes flickers/goes black for up to 5 seconds. This is the TV I play games on, so any help is greatly appreciated.

I am going to take the TV to school tomorrow because I'm in a computer repair class and we have fixed a TV before, but it was an easier fix than this. Any suggestions on what to do?

Extra Detail: I am pretty sure the ray gun is the thing that's messing up (the thing that displays the colors) Also, if that is the problem how much is it to buy a new ray gun and where can I buy one from?

why dont you shoot an email to customer support for vizio and try to get a replacement

oh lol well if it's a capacitor then that's good because I know how to fix that and it's cheap to fix
