I either go to 3gb or 2gb. If you have a 32 bit system then Be careful on how much ram you use for java, since 32 bit OS doesn't go past 3gb ram. Click File>save as, and name it "Start.bat" (without quotes) and place it with your .jar file. Make a shortcut for the .bat file and place it on your desktop for easy access. You can also change the icon so it won't look bad.Now run it and press F3 to see how much ram you're using.
