[Explanation w/ examples] What is lolicore? (the music)
Lolicore is a genre of music that breaks off from breakcore and implements vocal samples from loli's aka little girls from anime.
Since it is such a broad definition for the genre, music can range from things like this:
all the way to things like this: (watch out it is very loud)
The appeal of lolicore to many people is that it can just be all out bat shit insane, while still being limited by only one rule: has to have loli voice samples. Some tracks are still thought of as lolicore, even when they do not have loli voice samples in them, such as this song.
Lolicore is for the most part still underground, but people are trying to make it not as underground as it is right now.
So far there is only one forum for lolicore (Lolicore Nation) and it is hardly active, but there is still a lot of very good artists and producers who contribute to the site. My current favorite lolicore song is either "Looking up skirts" by Sunblock Bukkake, or "L is for icecream and cake" by Goreshit.
The most mainstream (if you can even call it that) lolicore artist as of now is Goreshit , almost anyone coming into the lolicore scene comes in listening to Goreshit.
If you want to maybe start listening to some lolicore then I suggest you to look at this flowchart, my favorite album on there is A5 but every album on there is great.
