If you use a key that lasts until 2018 like I did you certainly do get the updates.
Master posted a virus chart for the best AV's of 2013 and AVG was in the top 3 so it's a good choice.
Just need to find a key which isn't that hard.

ESET SS 6 has to be by far one of the best programs out there, and is used by a lot of former and current staff members of this site.

It didn't rate as well as other programs available in 2013 and that's from quite a few reputable sources.

Never crack antiviruses, because it can take up too much memory and cpu if its cracked, and not real/free version. I mostly use Avast Free version.
