    Because Google just started it & is testing waters with it. They're only allowing services in certain areas & if everything goes nicely, they'll expand to the rest of America.

    yeah and its currently only available in Texas. I heard they are gonna put google fiber in schools first, or its their main priority

    It's 1GB/S for same price as fucked up Verizon Fios. They can do both, expand & provide for schools considering how much & wealthy they are as a company.
