Confused by donations

I know what a donation is, and how to do it and so on, because I want to donate to MPGH, but, I'm wondering if you HAVE to pay $25 for it? And is it permanent, if it's $25 I probably won't buy, but anyway, any info appreciated!

You can donate any amount, but 25 dollars is how much you need for all the perks
