Just finished, Elfen Lied manga

Any other favorite manga that you want to recommend?



Why do you think that the anime fell flat? Do you have any recommendations on another manga to offer?

The ending was pretty shit compared to the manga. They opted to go for the touchy feely happy ending instead of keeping true to the overall themes of the manga.

I pretty much exclusively read violent mangas, but I do recommend reading Berserk then watching the original anime series, then go watch the two movies whilst you wait for the monthly releases in the manga. Definitely my favourite series right now. Other than that give Vagabond, Vinland Saga and Blade of the Immortal a shot.

And if you can tolerate the futuristic setting I'd recommend Blame! and Battle Angel Alita: Last Order.

I feel like I've been left behind. I've only ever seen one episode of elfen lied and it seemed really weird but I think I'll check out the manga first since you guy's are saying its better than the anime.

I wouldn't advise Naruto, it's far down on my list. You should try Berserk and Vagabond, there are hundreds of chapters and the story is really great for both titles. And Naruto's artwork pales in comparison...

I'd also like to put in Terraformers, just read it. Interesting, kind of neat for battles, and oh so brutal.

I just read the first chapter of Terra Formars, it was decent. I'm going to read more of it tomorrow.
