Why do you get own by knives?

Why do a small knife get owned by a bigger knife or even the same kind?

The range, the knives in Combat Arms does not use the hixboxes very good.

So, the damages count on ranges. Simply put, trying to stab someone close will not work, sense the hitboxes is only triggered when a little back. That's why common long knives like the wakazashi.

You'll know the range, simply attack them at toe length, no close then their foot and they move close, attack while moving back, then push forward. Forcing the hitbox to get hit. That is why you see people moving back and forth.


The ranges is the key, this why when very close to an enemy, the weapon does little or no damages because of the barrel going through you. Simply put, the attack is from the tip, not the blade itself. So, you go and make sure the tip can hit the hitboxes but not the face or head itself. Practice a little and you'll be surprise your skills can improve.

For dumb people: Use the tip rather then the whole knife, it'll just go through the head.

Not really, the idea is use the tip rather then the whole knives. Sense the damages is done because of the tip, if you was using the the.. fucking.. curve thingymabob. It'll do A LOT more damage then the normal or longer one because of the curve blade, this does not happen. You'll have to be at a range so the TIP hit the person rather then the whole blade itself.
