Would an R9 270 (not 270X) be compatible with an FX-6300?

I'm pretty confident that the 270X is the 270, just subtle differences in how a distributer chooses to list it.
And yes, it'd be a great fit for a 6300.

The 270X is a tad more expensive but if you OC the 270 you'd be able to get the same performance for $20 less. And thanks for the info.

Literally no difference other than a measly 100MHz, that as you said, can easily be achieved with Afterburner.
