The only way that may work is going to be a lobby that works with invites only.

for some reason when party_minplayers is set to 1 the game stops searching for opponents and lobbies and doesn't make you the host. If you force the lobby to start the game, You are host, can mod the lobby but no one will join. There is also another method to force host, have people to join but mods will not apply. As if someone takes the host from you or, like in left for dead, you connect to some server to play your match.

Could it just be your connection that no one is joining until the enemies forfeit? If I try to host while uploading to YouTube, every game ends in forfeit on moshpit...

Nightmare we are both in the same ballpark, yes they have stopped the old way of force host but at the same time I think they have integrated some of the BO2 zombies code,

instead of forcing host via the old method I think you need to gain host in lobby to start with, I am going to keep trying this with the forcehost I used for zombies as it worked 80% of the time.

How about setting it to 2 so it will start when you invite another friend, like you said in your first post ?

After some testing, here is the result.

When I start the moddable lobby, people gets kicked out of the lobby or I get an error message saying that someone from the party lost connection.

The other that I did not test yet is to start the game alone and then, once connected, invite people. This might work. I will need people to test it out with me.

2. Wait till match ends for nobody joins.
3. Once in Intermission lobby, re-patch the 3 addys to normal value and patch another one for preventing joining other lobbies.
4. People should start joining and since "Intermission" doesn't look for another host you will be the host. You can mod and people will join.

This is my theory. Needs more testing. Did worked for many matches.

It will go away after a while, don't worry. Not sure if restarting the game fixed it for me but you can try that. Otherwise, just play a few games and it juts disappears. Happened to me twice already.
