Ok for everyone saying they're getting better performance in games, and their internet problems are fixed, that's because you've just installed a new OS with fresh drivers. You could've installed W7 with brand new drivers and you would see a similar boost. If your internet issue is magically fixed, it means your drivers on W7 were fucked and you've only just managed to fix them using a fresh install of W8, which happens to include a digitally signed and updated version of the driver you were meant to be using on W7. W8 is better for transcoding, rendering and other multi-thread applications. You know what it's not better at? Playing games, in fact with most games you're going to get WORSE performance. There is nothing in the OS itself that would make playing games faster, any more than W7.

Must note for people getting scared by doc saying that it gives less performance in games. The performance difference is so small it's very negligible. It's almost never bigger then 4 fps
