I tried reading C++ for Dummies...I gave up after a month.

If you're looking to learn the basic, I'm afraid that book isn't going to help you that much.

I would recommend coding for dummies.

You can find coding for dummies online for free, or you can ask some of the people over at the coding section for it.
Besides it's only $20 bro .
