How To Set Up A Non-Hamachi Game Private Server

So this section is new to MPGH and really it is needed. In this section I will be telling you how to set up your basic private server. In this I will be showing and using the DarkWolf files. No idea who made them so the files will be credited to whoever brought them together and made the emulator for it. As another note! The computer you choose to host your private server is important. You want one you can keep on and one that does not lag very easily. Also a stable and good internet connection is required. Also you will need winrar.

Step 1
Download the files I have provided below.

Step 2
Once downloaded install Xampp. I already have it installed and I have it installed in my C drive. *I recommend the C drive* Once you have it installed start up the xampp control panel and start the apache and mysql services.

 

Step 3
Now that you have done that open up the htdocs folders. All you have to do is open the first one and extract it to your desktop. All these files should be on your desktop.

 

Step 4
Once you have the Htdocs folder extracted put it into your xampp folder. Now if you want to test if it is working then you can open up the emulator then you can visit https://localhost/game/ The emulator is in the htdocs emulator folder.

 

Step 5
Then you need to set your server database up and your server IP up. Goto IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup and copy your IP. Then open up https://localhost/phpmyadmin . Click on Databases and when it loads then look at the bottom. It should say create new Database. Type in thedarkwolf_db and press create. Once you have done that it should put you in your newly created database. Then find the import button and choose thedarkwolf_db.sql file from the htdocs folder. Once you have chosen your SQL file then click ok and it should populate your database. Now this is where the IP chicken comes in handy. Click on etl_servers and then press the edit button. Change the server IP to your IP from IPchicken. And it should be ready for playing.

 

Step 6
Now that you have finished these steps the tutorial is almost complete. You can now make the server available to the public once you have tested to make sure it works. To do this you need to open up the ports that will be used. NOTE: It is different for everyone. To do this you need to open up your router settings and find the port forwarding options. You will need to open up ports 80,3306,5588,443 The ports need to be tied to your server/computer IP address. I am sure you can search Google to find out how to set up port forwarding for your particular router and ISP.

 

Step 7
Enjoy your new private server. You can goto IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup to find your IP address. This will also be your servers address.

Pay attention to this section as I will also be posting about how to manage your database and how to set up your server with a domain name for free.

Well if you already have the propper port forwarding then you shouldnt need hamachi.

Sorry m8. The files are too large. I originally had them in 1 file but you know... Size limits. I can not link to any external site or I would've uploaded a single file somewhere else and linked it.

Is your emulator on/connected to the server. Is your server IP set up correctly?
